Los Algodones Border Crossing
US Mexico Border Reopening
Sani Dental Group is happy to announce that the U.S Government, in collaboration with the Government of Mexico, has lifted crossing restrictions for all travelers crossing on land, including non-essential travelers.
Los Algodones Border Crossing times have returned to their normal schedule: opening at 06:00 AM and closing at 10:00 PM California Time.
According to information provided by U.S. border crossing authorities, to cross at a land port of entry or ferry terminal, U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents returning to the United States are not required to present the COVID-19 vaccination certificate.
When entering Mexico by land, travelers might not be asked to show a passport but will need it when crossing the border back to their home country.
If you’re a Canadian or American citizen traveling by air, airport authorities could ask for a valid vaccination certificate. Depending on the place that you are departing from or traveling to, you might be required to show a negative COVID test result.
The best form of identification is a valid passport. However, our patients have had no problem returning to the states by presenting their driver's license and birth certificate card or their original birth certificate as long as they are U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
These measures will continue from November 8 up until authorities state otherwise. It’s of vital importance to note that restrictions regarding land crossing could be applied again whenever official border crossing authorities deem it to be necessary.
Sani Dental Group will continue monitoring and communicating only official information regarding the Los Algodones border and US Mexico Border Restrictions.
