Last month, our esteemed D.D.S. Hermes Somonte and D.D.S. Jorge Alan Gutierrez attended and completed the CustomLIFE accreditation for the reconstruction of atrophied jaws, which took place in Mexico City.
This important course was organized by Planeación Médica Digital (PMD), a company that offers services for health specialties, mainly maxillofacial surgery. They aim to promote the use of digital planning, as well as high-quality products and services.
CustomLIFE is a personalized jaw reconstruction system for severe atrophy. This system uses CT scans to create a customized structure which is then anchored to the external part of the bone with specific screws to fixation pillars. The dental plate is placed over this personalized structure.
Dr. Somonte and Dr. Gutierrez's participation in this important accreditation provided them with valuable insights into this technology and its potential benefits for patient health.
