A 30 Year Long Wait

30 years have passed, yes 30 years have passed since we last visited a galaxy far, far away.  Star Wars – Return of the Jedi was released on 25-May-83, this new adventure and will show us what happen after the Battle of Endor. Why are so many fans happy about this next release? Well because 30 years have passed, this means that the new events that happening are more believe.

The Empire didn’t just end with the death of Emperor Palpatine, on the contrary, it grew stronger. It seems that in past 30 years wars have not ended, in fact, a new “deadlier” treat has developed. How will we defend ourselves? We will have to wait and see Episode VII – The Force Awakens. 

Luke, I am your Father

Remember how in Episode VI – Return of the Jedi, Anakin's force ghost is seen in peace? Well, it seems that this peace was not long lasting. In the trailer, we see Darth Vader's mask sitting on a pedestal, but we also hear Luke’s voice saying, “the force is strong in my family, my father has it, I have it, my sister has it, you have that power to.” This quote is interesting because it speaks in present tense, could Anakin's force ghost appear in the movie? We will have to wait and see Episode VII – The Force Awakens. 

New Stormtroopers

In Star Wars Celebration day we got to see at least 4 new types of Stormtroopers. Based on the trailer, at least, one improvement is obvious – their aim. Yes, it seems that after 30 years of training, Stormtroopers aim has finally improved. In addition to their improve aim, the trailer shows us a more organized and deadlier army. We are likely looking at a resurgence of the evil empire, but to be sure we will have to wait and see Episode VII – The Force Awakens. 

The Heroine

Something the trailer show us is the heroes and among the heroes is Rey. However, who is Rey? Well at the moment little is known, some have speculated that she will this generation “new hope” as her role is similar to Luke. In the trailers, we also see what appears to be a woman's hand accepting “Luke's lightsaber”. At the moment this is all speculation, to answer all these questions, we will have to wait and see Episode VII – The Force Awakens. 

The Knights of Ren

In the previous 6 movies, Star Wars fans were thought the rule of two. Within the darkside, there is always two, a master and an apprentice. This rule no longer applies, in episode VII, we will meet The Knights of Ren. It seems that this time our heroes will face not two Sith Lords, but 7 or more Sith Lords. Trailers and images show at least 7 Knights and Supreme Leader Snoke, who is a powerful figure on the Dark Side of the Force. How will our heroes survive? We will have to wait and see Episode VII – The Force Awakens. 

The Nostalgia Affect

Episode VII has one big thing on its favor, the nostalgia factor. Director J.J. Abrams has used this nostalgic factor the best and most respectful way possible.  So far we have been introduced to all but one of our past heroes. Seeing old heroes is always nice, but in an era where remakes and reboots have destroyed most of our cherish memories, it’s a good to see that Episode VII – The Force Awakens survived.

One of the most memorable lines Episode VII – The Force Awakens has offered, is Han Solo quote, “Chewie we're home”. Now, imagine this is only one of the many quotes that surely will become memorable. What other quotes will become memorable? We will have to wait and see Episode VII – The Force Awakens. 

The Starkiller Base

A parallel between The Force Awakens and A New Hope is the destructive power the Empire has. For this new episode, a new weapon or two have been introduced. The Starkiller Base is a weapon built into an ice planet, similar to the Death Star. In addition to this ice planet, there seems to be another planet destroyer – in some trailers, another new super weapon is shown. This weapon, call, “Sun Crusher” could cause stars to go supernova, wiping out entire star systems. Of course, this is just speculation, to know the answer we will have to wait and see Episode VII – The Force Awakens. 

Who are the Jedi?

After all the events that occurred in Return of the Jedi, many would think that the Jedi will once again become a strong force. However, something The Force Awakens have shown us is that Jedi have not returned. Some of the new characters even needed confirmation of the Jedi existence from the original crew. So, what happened to the Jedi in the last 30 years? To know the answer, we will have to wait and see Episode VII – The Force Awakens. 

Who is BB8?

Star Wars has always brought its characters to life, not like modern movies that have a lot of CGI Star Wars has real characters. Episode VII – The Force Awakens is not the exception, director J.J. Abrams said, “Better for actors to have a real-life robot to interact with,' so we introduce to you the new droid BB8.

BB8 is not a CGI character, it a real, moving droid. Will this character be as memorable as R2D2? To know the answer, we will have to wait and see Episode VII – The Force Awakens. 

Wookies!

"Chewie, we're home," a grey-haired Hans Solo says at the end of the second trailer (caused thousands of screams of approval from fans). Despite the fact that more than 30 years have passed, Chewbacca looks pretty much the same. Is it because Wookiees don’t age? Is there a hidden alien science behind it? Will it be explained in the movie? To know the answer, we will have to wait and see Episode VII – The Force Awakens. 

Los Algodones and the Force

Why would a dental clinic in Los Algodones talk about a Sci-Fi Fantasy movie? It’s because of the parallel growth we have had. Sani Dental Group opened their doors 30 years ago, and just like Star Wars made an impact Sani has made an impact.
