2015 has been a great year for Los Algodones. This little town is growing day by day without losing its authentic charm. It wouldn't be possible without the thousands of visitors that come to Los Algodones every year. In response, Los Algodones have a series of great events to offer to its visitors. If you've been at Los Algodones sometime, you know how fun and amazing its events are. For 2016, the event calendar of the town is bigger than ever. Here you have all the events that Los Algodones has for you throughout the first half of 2016.

January 1st - Sand Drags at Los Algodones Dunes

For everyone who loves speed, going to see the Sand Drags at Los Algodones dunes is a must. Even if you're not a big fan, the landscape that Los Algodones dunes offer is worth seeing.

January 6 - Rosca de Reyes Celebration

This celebration is a well-established tradition in this town. Every year, Los Algodones celebrates Three Kings' Day with a delicious rosca de reyes. Have you never eaten a piece of rosca de reyes? Then you can't miss this opportunity.

January 22 - Los Algodones Fundraising Event

This is a really special one for Sani Dental Group. Los Algodones Fundraising Event 2016 is the first edition of what we expect to be the beginning of a big change for Los Algodones. The goal of this event is to raise funds to help to Take My Hand, a daycare house that offers refuge to children whose families cannot take care of them during the day. All proceeds will be directed to this cause.

February 16 - Tamale Festival of Catholic Church

The traditional Tamale Festival is the perfect excuse you need to eat authentic Mexican tamales. In this celebration, you can taste tamales from all Mexico and have a great time. So if you're at Los Algodones during this day, you can't miss this festival.

February 21 - Artisanal Gastronomic Festival

That's right, another festival where you can eat delicious Mexican dishes. What is the point of coming to Mexico if you don't eat authentic Mexican food? This Festival gives you the opportunity to taste a wide variety of artisanal dishes with the distinctive Mexican flavor.

February 24 - Flag Day

On this day, the Mexican flag is celebrated all over Mexico. If you're at Los Algodones on this day, there will be several activities that you can join and have a good time.

March 2 - Cars and Motorcycles Exhibition

If you're a cars and motorcycles lover, you cannot miss this. On this exhibition, you will be able to see classic cars and motorcycles, as well as take photos in them and learn a bit of these vehicles' history.

Anyone who has eaten paella knows how delicious this dish is. If you haven't eaten paella yet, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Every year, there is a contest in Los Algodones to see who can cook the most delicious paella. Join this contest and judge by yourself which paella is the best.

March 21 - Benito Juarez Anniversary

Benito Juarez was one of our most beloved presidents, so every year Mexico celebrates the anniversary of his birth in a big way. On this day, you'll be able to find a traditional parade and food at Los Algodones. This is also a great way to celebrate the start of spring, so don't hesitate and join the celebration.
