One of the most delicious foods in world is tacos. Tacos are a traditional dish of Mexico, composed of corn or wheat tortilla. Its filling will vary depending on the region, but it can include: beef, pork, chicken, seafood, vegetables or cheese. What is your favorite taco? Let’s learn the history of the taco.
The origin of tacos differs from one source to another, but the earliest evidence of this dish dates back to pre-Columbian Mexico. Anthropologists have found evidence that indigenous people of the Valle of Mexico ate tortillas with fish (fish tacos). A curious note is that when the Spanish conquistadors came to Mexico, Bernal Díaz del Castillo documented a taco feast enjoy between the Spanish and indigenous natives.
